- 5 / 5By Steve McCabeGreat place for a substantial day out. The free museum is good and provides an excellent look at mining (and sadly the cost in human lives). There's the drift mine tour for an interesting, hands-on look at mining (Takes about 1 hour, wear hiking shoes because it's a little muddy & wet, and bring a sweater - it's cool, even on a hot summer's day!). Cafe, narrow-gauge railway, and acres of trails in the country park to explore.November 20, 2016
